“Hello friends!” the man remarked
pleasantly to them. Without broaching
the more serious topic which confronted them, he proceeded to chatter on about
their studies, hobbies and favorite television serials. He befriended and thoroughly disarmed them
with his simplicity and charming behavior.
Even as Vibha pondered over his age, he
asked Vishal, “Well, young man, do you have any girlfriends?” When Vishal
blushingly said “No,” Pramod guffawed loudly.
“Very soon you’ll have girls falling over you, I bet. But its good you’re concentrating on your
studies. You’ve your priorities
right.”
Seeing Vibha lost in her thoughts, he
waved his palm in front of her eyes and said “A penny for your thoughts, baby.
Studying too much, I think. Please tell
me if you’ve any problems in your Maths and Science subjects. I’ll help you out whenever possible."
