An Excerpt
After all that had happened, Gauri’s Mom just didn’t want to
leave her daughter all alone in a strange city.
Considering all the trouble that they had taken to get Gauri’s admitted
into that prestigious College, she had reversed her earlier decision to cancel her
admission. She had decided that she’d stay with Gauri in a rented apartment
till she finished her MBA, but felt that she was first morally bound to brief
her husband about that incident. She would go to Mumbai with Gauri and return
back to search for a rented apartment. The next day, both mother and daughter
packed all her belongings and went back to Mumbai.
Later that night, she briefed her horrified hubby about the whole sordid episode, but extracted a promise from him that he wouldn’t question Gauri too much about the same.
