EXCERPT
A profusion of crotons spilled over into
the spacious and colorful garden restaurant from all sides. Each table was enclosed on three sides by
beds of beautiful annual flowers. On
first sight, Vasudha fell in love with the place. “Must bring Vibha and Vishal here one day,”
she thought as Pramod and she, made their way to a table. A vase with a single red rose adorned the
table.
After having placed their order, without
any preamble, Pramod handed the rose from the vase and proposed, “Will you
marry me, Vasudha?” Though not entirely unexpected, the question momentarily
stunned her.
“Are you serious Pramod?”
“It’s a well-thought-about decision, I
assure you.”
