Suddenly he had a brainwave.
Why not deliberately flunk T.Y.B.Com? He could leave all his answer papers
blank! Then he sobered down as he realized the stupidity of his idea. What
about his parents? They’d die of shock. He’d let that idea pass, he thought, as
he continued to mull over his obsession. He had to obtain her phone number
first, he decided. Since he knew that he’d take ages and beyond to actually
profess his love for her, he could first sound her out safely over the phone
and then gauge her reaction. But what if she over-reacted and reported the
matter to her professors or worse, the Principal?
