Suraj’s wife Asha, a beauty-queen in her hey days was a jaded lady these days. Only the vestiges of her beauty remained, in her elegant demeanor and dressing sense and the haughty way in which carried herself. Her face showed the ravages of time in her pallor, her sunken dark eyes, her sagging jaw and her lined forehead. She had really let herself go.
