The Suspicious Wife

“Manoj, who’s there with you in your cabin?  I can hear some female’s voice! ” his wife Jyoti asked him belligerently, over the telephone line.  He casually answered, though in a whisper, “Oh, it’s just a lady clerk who has come here for getting my signature on some documents. “Really?” she continued.  “Of course, Jyoti!  Don’t be a pain!  I’ve work to do, shall I keep the phone?”  He could hear his wife bursting into tears and sniffing at the other end.  He sighed deeply. He was losing his patience with her these days.

He was the Branch Manager of a reputed private company.  He had to deal with many important issues throughout the day.  He was also responsible for all the activities in that office.  Naturally, he had to interact with all the employees in his office.  That included females as well!

But this fact was the bane of his wife’s life.  Throughout the day, she was tense and highly strung, thinking about her ‘handsome’ husband in the company of those young and pretty girls.
